The Penicuik Fayre and Switch On 2019 was a combined effort between Penicuik First and Penicuik & District Community Council but this could not happen without all the other amazing volunteers who helped to make this event happen.
We were sponsored by local businesses and groups including Scotmid Funeral Care, Tesco, Penicuik on Parade, Colourprintz, William Purves funeral Directors, Penicuik Athletic, Penicuik Estate, Q4 Laundry.
Their support helped go towards some of the costs. It was great to see a super array of stalls booked through Penicuik Town Crier, many with people volunteering to raise funds for their local groups.
PCDT kindly arranged refreshments and tasty treats.
The kids activity area had lovely helpers to keep the youngsters happy!
The Rotary Club were a massive help with their marshalling skills which definitely helped everything run smoothly.
The junior Hunter & Lass, Jack and Emily along with citizen of the year Gilbert Kirkwood did a great job of switching on our beautiful lights.
Colin from Crystal FM provided the Christmas tunes throughout the day.
We absolutely loved the Music from Penicuik Silver Band and Penicuik & District Pipe Band and along with Annabel Oates direction, the strip the willow certainly helped to warm us all up!
We really can’t thank all these people enough for making this come together!
Last but not least, many thanks to the lovely Penicuik peeps who made the effort to come along to enjoy it all.
